Rhett Batchelor: Treasurer
I grew up in Alabama, in a family of eight, where I learned the value of hard work and dedication. I am currently a senior at Providence Classical School and plan to attend college next year to pursue a degree in pharmacology. Despite my young age, I feel compelled to make a positive impact on society and advocate for those in need. I believe that to whom much is given, much is expected. LIGHT offers me an exceptional opportunity to cultivate virtues and live a life that transcends personal gain. As the treasurer of LIGHT, I take my responsibilities with the utmost seriousness, striving to maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity.

Alexa Gettel: Chief Administrator
I’m from Sarasota, Florida, and a senior in high school. After graduating I am excited to pursue a Business degree at Florida Atlantic University. As the administrator of LIGHT, I’ve had the opportunity to grow as a leader and make a meaningful impact. Community service has always been close to my heart—helping others is not just about giving but actively spreading kindness to support and transform lives. I believe that when we lift others up, we also grow stronger ourselves. Through my volunteer work, I’ve learned how much we can achieve when we come together to serve our communities.

Emily King: Equity and portfolio analyst
My name is Emily King, and I’m 16 years old. I currently attend Florida Atlantic University High School, where I am dual-enrolled and take all of my classes on the college campus. I plan to major in mechanical engineering, with the goal of graduating high school with a bachelor’s degree from FAU or transferring to a university with a stronger engineering program, particularly in aeronautical engineering. In addition to my academics, I am involved in basketball, soccer, track, cross-country, research, speech and debate, First Priority, and Drones in Schools. However, unlike my other activities, LIGHT offers me the unique opportunity to learn about finance while making a positive impact that extends beyond myself. In a world often filled with darkness, I believe that a little bit of light can spark a domino effect of hope, faith, and empowerment.
